For three years now, Bill Zeman has been drawing dinosaurs eating girls and ‘poo-poo airplanes’, all based on the whims and demands of his daughter, Rosie. She has been giving him briefs since she was two-and-a-half years old, and she’s a tough and demanding critic. Metalheads are often obsessed with HP Lovecraft. This amazing octopus chair by artist Maximo Riera would make any Chthulu-loving hesher pee him/herself.
His drawings are so realistic that, after first thinking it was photography, you then search for a ‘zoom button’ to get the most details you can. Then, slowly, the drawings seem to be moving, they appear to be alive, something is coming, and the story, after a minute, is already all around you. Read more

Knocked Up and Juno gave the pro-choice movement a boost, and of those two, only Juno came close to confronting the issue. This remarkable construction is located in the Swedish village of Jukkasjärvi and is built entirely from scratch every year. It features 10,000 tonnes of ice from the nearby Torne River, and 30,000 tonnes of snow, covering more than 30,000 square feet in total. Oh, it even has its own ice chapel. Chester French are Ivy League prep boys from Massachusetts who have mastered an interesting Beatlesque sound tinged with Motown influences. When, in May 2007, the duo — D.A. and Max — completed their recording and their degrees (in African American Studies and Social Anthropology respectively), they were snapped up by Pharrell Williams’ label Star Trak.

Heavily influenced by music and film, the design team at Conquer Gear showcases their tees not as clothes, but indubitably as limited edition art pieces.
