Making your poodle into a miniature parade float may seem cruel and unusual, but my hunch is that the pups love it. What other breed can be shaved into the shape of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? It’s all about the poodle pride.

Fetch Club: a nightspot for dogs
Only in New York? Perhaps, but it’s happening. In May, a night club for pampered pooches is opening in the Financial District of Manhattan, enabling owners to drop off their dogs for ‘homemade meals, holistic mud spa thingimajiggers, and possibly even a disco dance club’. Did anyone mention recession?

Dogs have finally graduated from unwilling fashion victims. You know the ones: strolling the streets with their pink booties, rhinestone collars and ever-popular powder blue t shirts. Now they can stand as distinguished animals, joining the linguistic world and representing a font type. Eurostyle is my favorite. Woof!

Damn hipster dogs coming in here with their parents’ money, acting like they own the place, not respecting us real dogs who know what real culture and art are. We were here first and we knew about all those bands before they did. Read more

The picture of the dog which has been so colorfully and brightly painted is absolutely disgusting. How would you like it if you were pinned down, shaved and colored (different colors mind you). This is not art and nor is it talent, find something more constructive to do with your spare time.
This is plain and simple animal cruelty.

Teen prodigy Zena Santos’ love for Photoshop developed at a young age. Now the 19-year-old has further developed her uniquely dazzling illustrative style. Having originally sprung from the Shaky Isles (otherwise known as New Zealand), I can appreciate the humour in the New Zealand cartoon series, Bro Town, the first homegrown animated series to screen during local prime time. It’s simply brilliant, a real play on the ‘thuck’ accent and small town ways of our Kiwi brethren.

I have known Hayden for almost twenty years. He has always released quality music and that is why he can wait four years between releases and his fans are still there. His latest album — In Field & Town — went straight into heavy rotation in our home and I think will extend his fan base further than even he might like.
