Looking for the latest in wallets? Well, then have a look at this one: It looks nothing like a wallet at first glance, except maybe that the proportions are similar. But Wallet 2.0 is made out of very soft silicone, available in 5 colors, and comes with a patent pending system of refill sheets that allow you to be really organized (at least in your wallet). Think of the refill sheets as a manila folder in your wallet, giving you immediate access to the item you are looking for.

I don’t know about you, but I struggle with misplacing my little SanDisk USB stick. That’s why I think Rene Lee’s Metro Flash Drive is one of the savviest, aesthetically pleasing pieces of digital stationary designed this year. It integrates a clever pen clip at the front of the device so you can pop it on a necktie or dress shirt pocket. You can even go that one step further and use it as a money clip.

Nicki Minaj Barbie Doll (all in the name of charity)
It’s ironic how so many females refer to themselves as Barbies, but the vast majority will never actually get to be one. But for Nicki Minaj, that’s an entirely different story. Mattel’s Barbie crew teamed up with the Young Money rapper to bring her Barbie persona to life in the name of charity. Think classic highlighter pink hair with a blunt cut, flamboyant makeup and Minaj’s signature Barbie necklace. All proceed of the doll’s auction will benefit Project Angel Food, an organisation that works to provide food for people affected by HIV and AIDS.

Add a little swagger to your style with the Alpina M1 vintage sunglasses. The 80s-made shades have been worn by the likes of Rick Ross, Jazy-Z, Victoria Beckham and Stevie Wonder to name a few. And now they’re available to buy at Bangkok’s funky SuperrZaaap! Terminal 21 store.

The rough and frantic style of French graphic novelist Antoine Dode gives his panels an expressive and interestingly textured feel. Can’t wait to read hard copies of his work.
The IdeaPaint CRE-8 paints allow you to turn any surface in your house into a dry-erase board. I live in a big warehouse space, so this sort of thing would be very helpful to make sure everyone remembers to take out the recycling.
Sparks’ album Kimono My House is a demented mix of hard rock, pop, glam, new wave, and baroque pop. Why this record never caught on in the States I’ll never know. The songs will get stuck in your head and prevent you from sleeping. Oh yeah, and the keyboard player has a nice mustache too, as evidenced by this track above — This Town Ain’t Big Enough.
If you come to Berlin, then I recommend this little shop, Dederon Design, specializing in stuff manufactured in, or inspired by, the former GDR (East Germany). Everything from ice cream cups to LP racks and toys. The woman running the shop even designs bags in some weird GDR-invented plastic material.
Whenever I begin to take life too seriously, I head over to Indexed for a little humor treat. Never have math, formulas and graphs been so clever and witty. The creator of the site started it as a way to make fun of some things, sense of others. Somehow her little formula worked. She is now listed in TIME Magazine’s Top Blogs of 2008. And now Jessica Hagy is a published author. Enjoy exploring the inner-workings of her mind. It is simply delightful.
Pre-eminent Norwegian Viking metal band Enslaved has evolved over the years from a straight-forward black metal band into a moody, post-rock outfit without completely abandoning their roots. Their last few albums have seen a shift towards English lyrics, sweeping and majestic instrumentals, and diverse influences — everything from Pink Floyd and ’70s prog and psych rock to ’80s goth and shoegaze pop. Jeans are a science, a science based on the deep knowledge of denim, washes and patterns, according to Dr. Denim, who have certainly twisted and turned every single atom of all their jeans into perfection. Each pair exudes a progressive design, made of superior quality at fair prices. My high waists have become the most desirable item in my wardrobe due to the denim’s strength which magically sculpts to your body yet leaves you embracing the comfort of wearing tracky-dacks. Seriously, there is nothing more important than owning a good-fitting pair of jeans. Dr. Denim delivers unisex designs that appeal to everyone.

Some friendly advice for the neighbours, who simply don’t get it, or street art? You decide which one it is.

A little infectious lollipop rock anyone? Feel free to embarrass yourself singing along at the stoplight. If the other drivers give you that look, roll down the windows and spread the love.
