PostSecret? You betcha
Thanksgiving Day, my favorite Holiday! Anytime you put marshmallows on sweet potatoes and call it a dish I am there! As an American living in London, I am busy feeling sorry for myself, missing my families’ Cajun Andouille Sausage stuffing, homemade pumpkin pie, Butternut Bisque. wine and hugs to go with every moment. Just when I thought I might tear up and book a ticket home, I discovered this post-card from PostSecret. As the name says, you write a secret on a post-card and share it with the world. Reading this one in particular gave Thanksgiving a different tone. I will think of this person today and wonder how they are doing, reflecting on their unfortunate situation. After sending them some goodwill, I got to thinking, how do people share their ‘thanks’, what ways do people show gratitude? Well, you bet your apple pie I will be smiling as I give humble glance to my world and feel very lucky to all the wonderment it constantly offers. Turkey Hugs to everyone.

We invited Greg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, who aside from being the DJ of the moment is also the remix whiz behind tracks from Beck, Tokyo Police Club, and Grizzly Bear, to give us a rundown on the songs he’s wearing out right now for our sister site, My Secret Playlist. He started off by propping Beyonce’s anthemic single, Single Ladies [listen below]. Go figure! ‘This is one of my favorite Beyonce tracks ever. It has so much energy, and the chorus gets dark in a great way. The clapping never stops. The video is a flawless execution of a performance style clip. It’s perfect’.
