|Ala Ebtekar draws on his Iranian ancestry and its contrast with his urban American identity in his drawings done on Farsi religious texts. His wispy, seemingly incomplete murals reference modern urban archetypes as well as traditional Persian art, expressing the sense of a post-modern psyche caught between two selves.
