Blender Defender
I really don’t understand cat haters. Most of them claim that our feline companions are aloof and distant, graceful and mysterious to a fault. In my opinion, cats are just as goofy as dogs, which is why any documentation of them acting like spazzes makes me chuckle uncontrollably. Blender Defender is the website of a guy who rigged up a flashing light and a blender to scare the crap out of his cat every time he gets up onto a counter he isn’t supposed to be on. It may sound cruel, but it’s no different than an electric collar on a dog, and the cat isn’t harmed in any way. It’s just hilarious.

As I continued to look, the bizarre overall nature of her work really began to dawn on me. My Kid Is Gifted is a site where people share hilarious and gifted kid stories and sayings. It’s aditcive and nearly impossible to not crack a smile at the adorableness of it all.
Cloud Control have just unravelled a newly recorded track, Gold Canary, from their forthcoming 2010 album. It’s straight up pastoral Blue Mountains goodness. I actually heard it live earlier this year and it sounded quite rad.

I’m not much of a jewelry guy, but if bling is in order, it’s ordered from my man Osa at Complete Technique. Originally from Japan, Osa is now based in Dumbo, Brooklyn and makes the finest metal jewelry, on par with any of his ancestor’s samurai swords. From speaker rings to turntable pendants, it’s all fresh and mostly music or hip-hop related. He’s been at it for about ten years and works harder than most people I know.
