August + Pemberton
Finding an original accessory these days is a bit of a rarity. I mean, when every second person you see is wearing one of those damn Palestinian scarfs, you know the industry is crying out for a fresh take. Enter Sydney-based jewellery label August + Pemberton. They’ve got the market stitched up with their unique Mokume Gane rings. Just in case you’re not down with jewellery making terminology, Mokume Gane is when two or more metals are blended together. The label’s designer Simon Grew works this technique by mixing rose and yellow gold with silver and palladium. And the result? A standout piece that you won’t see everywhere you look.

Hi I got a Mokume Gane ring from Jason Ree in sydney. It’s fabulous, and was custom made for me. check out http://www.jasonree.com.au

I’ve seen the mokume rings made by August & Pemberton and they are an amazing work of art! I bought my wife’s engagment ring from Simon and was very impressed not only with the quality but the service as well. If you are really looking for something different though have a look at his mammoth ivory mens rings, they are really unique and i always have people commenting on the one he made for me, and all the engraving and design is one of a kind. Its a great conversation piece wearing a piece of history thats not available from any other jewler in Australia.

I don’t know bridgette, I went there and got the feeling that they don’t actually make their own mokume. I recently found a site where I can create my own @ http://www.bespokemokume.com.au
Hardest thing is now making is a decision!
