Inside the studio of Yuko Shimizu
I’ve worked with the brilliant New York-based illustrator — and Lost At E Minor contributor — Yuko Shimizu remotely for some years now. But despite the fact that we live in the same city, we’ve only met up once — at a group exhibition that she was a part of at a Chelsea gallery. Even then, I could tell she was as vibrant and colourful a personality as her illustrations suggest. Which is why it’s so nice to see these photos from deep within her studio space; to get a window into the environment in which her creativity is unleashed.

Crimea X is the coming together of two offbeat, disparate characters, DJ Rocca (Ajello, Super Sonic Lovers, Maffia Sound System) and Jukka Reverberi from 90s Italian glam cult rockers, Giardini di Mirò, who have often have been compared with the sound of Mogwai, Arab Strap, and Godspeed You! Nice article. I love seeing different workspaces and how some sets up their environment. If I may make a suggestion regarding these articles… Would you please link to bigger images so i can see more detail? These small article images don’t really give me a good look on bigger monitors. Thanks.
