The AIGA-NY is presenting the New York premiere of the UK legendary designer Si Scott on Wednesday August 6th. It all takes place at the Bumble and Bumble Space, Third Floor Auditorium, between 7 and 8.30pm.

Seb Lester says ‘Keep It Simple!’
Seb Lester is one of the UK’s most successful type designers. Trained in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins, he now works in London as a type designer and typographic illustrator. Massaia specializes in large format black and white photography and large format Platinum/Palladium printing. All of his images are true ‘one shot’ candid scenes that have been pushed to their limit via film developing and printing techniques to reveal the true way each moment was felt. Blippy: tracking real time online spending
The idea behind Blippy is to use the public blackboard that is the burgeoning social media environment to monitor what your friends, and their friends, are spending their hard-earned money on. The Twitter-based platform encourages its members to upload their credit card details so that their online purchases are displayed in real time for all the world — or at least a voyeuristic few — to see.

Knuckleheads is a pretty fun little side scrolling game where you’re a pair of Mexican-wrestler-looking things attached to each other by a chain. Yu Xiao was born in Zi Bo, Shandong, China. She received her M.A. in Photography from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. I love this track by London based rock group, Scanners, which is off their latest album, Submarine. Having toured with acts such as The Horrors, The Wedding Present, The Charlatans, Electric Six, and Juliette & The Licks, Scanners could well blow up in 2010. Figuratively speaking, not literally.
