Moby’s create a video competition
Our friend Moby, who’s signed some CDs and posters that we’re giving away on Lost At E Minor, has just announced a global $10,000 video competition going live on his MobyGratis website. Directors are invited to submit their films for the track ‘Ooh Yeah‘ and the winner, chosen by Moby, will win the $10,000 prize money and have their video used as the official music video. Sweet! Entries close midnight, Monday July 14th.

Riikka Sormunen’s paintings are stylised depictions of fantasy worlds. She also paints novelty figurines to immerse in these beautiful environments, where darkness seeps in, lending them unusual and thought-provoking qualities.
This gourmet paint is made by only two dedicated paint makers without fillers, just pigment and oil, like it should be. There is only one store that sells it and it is run out of the Elisabeth Foundation for the Arts building in Chelsea, New York. They have a table set up there so you can play with and mix any of the colours together to see its effects. I usually go to pick one tube up and hang around asking questions to one half of the duo, Gail, and usually leave with five tubes, having learned a lot about the history and the process behind each colour.
