ZipZip USB memory brick
The ZipZip USB Memory Brick contains two gigabytes of storage, quite a lot of word documents, works with Macs and PCs and has all the usual bells and whistles (just minus the bells and whistles). The cool thing is, it resembles our favorite toys. In fact, it doesn’t just resemble it, it looks pretty much exactly like it. Five fun colors adds a whole new dimension to the usual appearance of these little geniuses.

I’ve been admiring the work of Portland illustrator John Klassen for a while now. I’m irrepressibly drawn to his muted, textured landscapes, in all their mysterious glory. Having originally sprung from the Shaky Isles (otherwise known as New Zealand), I can appreciate the humour in the New Zealand cartoon series, Bro Town, the first homegrown animated series to screen during local prime time. It’s simply brilliant, a real play on the ‘thuck’ accent and small town ways of our Kiwi brethren.
Perimeter Books in Melbourne is a small bookshop and art space, full of beautiful surprises. I always feel inspired to make fresh new drawings after going there.
We spoke to Dopepope about his latest Metal Man Project: ‘In the fifth grade, I drew a comic called Metal Man about a humanoid robot that went crazy and pulled knives on people. It’s the most ridiculous thing ever. I was a kid! Anyway, I found the artwork and simply traced the head and the logo exactly as I had them and fell in love with the iconic shapes they’ve created’. I’ve been waiting for a group like this. These New Puritans are balls in your face, 100 miles an hour, pure attack! A young British group that has most of the UK press in the palm of their skinny pale hands, they hint at a sonic mash of Bloc Party mixed with what White Rose Movement were supposed to be. What more could you want?
