Win a package of CDs, vinyl, DVDs, a book, and a tee [phew!]
Thanks to our friends at Creative Vibes, we have a special Alabama 3 prize pack to give away — featuring a swag of CDs and signed vinyl — to a randomly selected Lost At E Minor subscriber.
As well as a signed copy of ‘Hello, I’m Johnny Cash’ [not 'an autographed Johnny Cash vinyl', as we earlier thought. Our bad. D'oh!] the prize pack is a celebration of the music of the brit indie rockers, who do the Sopranos theme track. The exclusive package consists of a Sopranos coffee table book, an Alabama 3 t-shirt, Hello, I’m Johnny Cash signed vinyl, Live At The Astoria Live DVD, a bumper sticker, Hits & Exit Wounds [best of] CD, and The Brits entire back catalogue of CDs, including Exile On Coldharbour Lane, La Peste, Woke Up This Morning, Outlaw, Last Train to Mashville Vol.2, M.O.R.
To be in with a chance of winning this prize pack, be a Lost At E Minor subscriber and leave a message under this post saying: ‘Yeeha! Ummm, Alabama 3’ (or words to that effect). Entries close next Monday morning New York time and the winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

Star Wars Uncut: a fully crowdsourced version of Episode IV
The project of creative technologist, Casey Pugh, this full length version of the George Lucas masterpiece was created from multiple 15 second segments recreated from the original movie and submitted by thousands of Star Wars fans, which were then spliced together by editor Aaron Valdez to form the final product. Genius, as both a commentary on contemporary pop culture trends (there are references to LEGO, stop motion, memes and the like) and on the power of tapping your audience for quality material.
Filmmaker creates LEGO stop motion to propose to girlfriend
Now, this is one for the ages: back in 2010, Atlanta film-maker Walter Thompson created a jaw-dropping LEGO stop motion to propose to Nealey Dozier, his girlfriend of four years. The video took 22 hours of shooting and some 2,600 pictures to splice together, a small sacrifice to pay for years of happiness together. Right? Right! Oh, and she said yes. Bonus.

Man, I love Johnny Cash. It’s become a ritual to play Johnny Cash every Friday afternoon…a great slide into the weekend.
For those who think he’s just a country player, check out this video on Youtube of his cover of Hurt.
It’s the last song he recorded before he died…an epic apology to his wife June Carter. There’s not much more powerful in music than this clip, IMO:
