Trevor Jackson is a London-based creative, working in many fields including graphic design, art direction, moving image, music writing, remixing and production, installations and performance. Trevor’s passion for pushing new ideas without compromise never tires. He recently combined his audio and visual talents with an installation for the launch of the BMW1 series car, and a debut live a/v performance for the ONEDOTZERO festival in Tokyo 2005, This project is currently being expanded into a full sound reactive experience to be toured in the near future.

A talent for mixed media and a good eye for detail has won London designer Andy Forshaw clients such as Dazed and Confused, Vice, and TimeOut. He’s just finished illustrating a mammoth book for Bloomsbury UK entitled What On Earth Happened which will be released worldwide this Autumn.

The Gibson Robot Les Paul Studio
The revolutionary Gibson Robot Les Paul Studio Limited Electric Guitar has some groundbreaking controls at your disposal. At first glance, the four control knobs seem to be indistinguishable from those on other Les Paul guitars. But look again. While the knobs do provide the standard tone and volume controls for each of the two pickups, the Multi-Control Knob (MCK) — the one with the illuminated top — serves as the master control for all aspects of the Robot Les Paul Studio Limited’s amazing self-tuning system. Which is kinda fun when you think about it.

Well, several years ago I came across a compilation of obscure electro music called Famous When Dead, which is off the commendably experimental German label, Playhouse. Caught The Dust Dive the other night at Glasslands. They’re a bunch of hippies, but even I have to admit, they’re atmospheric live show – consisting of violin, gently strummed guitar, a few piano and sampler twinkles here and there, and sound samples from the found footage projected behind the band – is really powerful, like the warm rush of fond memories that hits you an instant before the mushroom cloud annihilates everything. Frontman Bryan Zimmerman even plays the musical saw, and you really can’t argue with that.

The owners are already living in their new abode with their two very happy children. Located on a mountain in country outside Mudgee, in New South Wales, Australia, a permanent camp designed by Casey Brown has been set. A timber structure clad in copper has been designed to have a closed state and an open state. From the closed position, the flanks of copper are hoisted and capture views across the valley. With an imagery of structures, materials and mechanics of old, there is something romantic about this foothold on the hill.
