Zanerobe

Aussie streetwear label Zanerobe create the most wearable t-shirts around. Not only are they soft like the fur off a particularly smooth peach, they look mighty sharp too. My personal fave? The 100% Pure Grade Beef tee. Always goes down a treat in the bars of Manhattan. No wonder we’ve been rocking around in Zanerobe ever since they first filled our wardrobes a couple of years back. Red hot is just putting it too lightly.

Star Wars Uncut: a fully crowdsourced version of Episode IV

The project of creative technologist, Casey Pugh, this full length version of the George Lucas masterpiece was created from multiple 15 second segments recreated from the original movie and submitted by thousands of Star Wars fans, which were then spliced together by editor Aaron Valdez to form the final product. Genius, as both a commentary on contemporary pop culture trends (there are references to LEGO, stop motion, memes and the like) and on the power of tapping your audience for quality material.

Filmmaker creates LEGO stop motion to propose to girlfriend

Now, this is one for the ages: back in 2010, Atlanta film-maker Walter Thompson created a jaw-dropping LEGO stop motion to propose to Nealey Dozier, his girlfriend of four years. The video took 22 hours of shooting and some 2,600 pictures to splice together, a small sacrifice to pay for years of happiness together. Right? Right! Oh, and she said yes. Bonus.

After over 6 months on the road, one of my Zanerobe tees takes the cake for the most durable tee in my backpack. Some others are faded and stretched, but my trusty Zanerobe number is still looking sharp. Great quality.

Charmaine Olivia’s paintings speak to us in a voice that is tinged with the rhythms of an Oedipus Complex. The voice often comes from a young female subject whose intent is uncertain in nature, creating a desire in the viewer which follows us long after we’ve left earshot of the subject’s enticing voice and undeniable gaze. Keep it simple stupid. That’s the idea behind this design. Fashion label Eleventh Commandment wanted to created something that was as far away from the Ed Hardy ‘cram as much shit onto one shirt’ approach as possible. Voila. This singlet is 100 percent premium 150gsm combed cotton and is made in Australia.
