As pretty as couture lingerie can be, it’s an inexpensive foray into an impractical world. Trends sweep in and out, but, for the whole, lingerie stays frilly, lacey and visible below clothing, forcing women to mark a clear line between underwear (in it’s most literal sense) and lingerie. But the new line by Berlin designer, Matthias Jaschke is something else entirely. Grounded by clean lines, subtle detailing and minimalist fabrics, Wundervoll makes sexy, functional -as if it wasn’t already. There is an undertone of Betty Grable throughout, however it is cleverley subdued, keeping each piece modern and refined.
