I’ve just discovered the illustration work of London-based artist Reilly, and his seamless mesh of street art, graff and found objects is captivating: ‘His work fuses international high glamour and street chic with motifs of urban culture and gritty images of Hackney, his home in East London. Combining dynamic rainbows swirls, repetitions of glossy lips and painstakingly observed come-hither eyes, then layering over tags, graffiti and found objects, as well as his own cartoon characters – this makes his work instantly recognisable in all its hypnotic variety’.
