Israeli electro group Infected Mushroom start their tour of Australia tomorrow. We spoke to Duvdev to see what he’s expecting to find: What’s your impression of Australian audiences compared to those in Europe or America? ‘I am usually in Australia only once a year and each time I am there I am impressed with the reaction of the crowd. I like to see the crowd happy, dancing and enjoying themselves. This is what I get in Australia. Our audience is our audience wherever we go’. Is there — in your opinion — a definitive InfectedMushroom track, one that always sets the crowd alight? ‘Each year there is a new definitive track that makes the crowd go wild. It was Cities of The Future, then it was I Wish and for the past year it has been Becoming Insane’. Any other live acts out there that are exciting you right now? ‘Well, Linkin Park, System of a Down, Depeche Mode and a few others’.

Genius, as both a commentary on contemporary pop culture trends (there are references to LEGO, stop motion, memes and the like) and on the power of tapping your audience for quality material.
Filmmaker creates LEGO stop motion to propose to girlfriend
Now, this is one for the ages: back in 2010, Atlanta film-maker Walter Thompson created a jaw-dropping LEGO stop motion to propose to Nealey Dozier, his girlfriend of four years. The video took 22 hours of shooting and some 2,600 pictures to splice together, a small sacrifice to pay for years of happiness together. Right? Right! Oh, and she said yes. Bonus.

The results are stunning, with the nineteenth century structures providing an amazing starting point.
