Evolution of Logos
Personally, I think the new AT&T logo sucks. In attempting to make it look 3-D, the designers have also made it look like a scoop of ice-cream, not exactly what I associate with cellphones. Craig Duffney is a designer and artist living on New York City’s Lower East Side. He celebrates his birthday every year on March 4th, which is the only calendar date that is also a command. Duffney can design a logo or create something good that you will want to hang in your bedroom or place in your pocket forever. He also has an incredible flannel shirt collection. He can only do three things, but he can do those three things very well. He likes to see his name.

If you’re in New Orleans and you love barbeque, make sure to stop by The Joint in the Bywater neighborhood. Their brisket is outstanding, and for under $11 for a pound of the fatty, delicious beef and two sides, it’s a super good deal. Their ribs are also pretty good, but seriously, the brisket is the jam.

The indie, electronic pop duo Plastic Operator paired up whilst studying audio production at London’s Westminster University. In 2004, they released their first three track EP. Their music reminds me of bands like The Fashion, Crystal Castles and Cut Copy.
I’m not much of a jewelry guy, but if bling is in order, it’s ordered from my man Osa at Complete Technique. Originally from Japan, Osa is now based in Dumbo, Brooklyn and makes the finest metal jewelry, on par with any of his ancestor’s samurai swords. From speaker rings to turntable pendants, it’s all fresh and mostly music or hip-hop related. He’s been at it for about ten years and works harder than most people I know. If you need some jewelry, show him some love.
