Design a logo competition
Designers, agencies, studios and students from all over the world are invited to enter the Wolda worldwide logo design annual comeptition: ‘Winners are selected by an international three-tier jury consisting of Designer, Client and Public Judges. All the winning logos will be showcased online and published in a printed annual on SAPPI acclaimed papers by Fontegrafica’. Entries close May 20th.

New Banksy artwork angers the Catholic Church
Banksy has struck again, this time offending the Catholic Church with a bold artwork that critiques their stance on ongoing child abuse scandals. Banksy has taken a replica of a bust of an eighteenth century member of the Catholic hierarchy and added multi-coloured tiles to the face — pixelating it — as a comment on what he considers to be the Church’s cover-up. ‘I’m never sure who deserves to be put on a pedestal or crushed under one’, Banksy noted. Tattoo artist sued by ex-girlfriend for obscene design
Oh boy, this is so bizarre it could only be true. Apparently a Dayton, Ohio, tattoo artist has been slapped with a $100,000 lawsuit by his ex-girlfriend for tattooing an image of, erm, excrement with flies on her back rather than the scene from Narnia that she had requested. The reason? He’d recently found out that she had been cheating on him with one of his buddies. Damn! And here we were thinking this was the hot new look for trailer park trash crowd.

His name is Marshall Ace Drummond, which makes his initials MAD. At just over 8 months old, you don’t need to be clucky to appreciate his outfits: from Baby Gap to Cheap Monday, and sometimes not much more than a cheeky grin. This bub oozes charisma and his clothes suit him to a tee (pun intended).
Milke are inspired by the third French wave of Kitsune artists, electro pop, Stuart Price and The DFA, all mixed in with the pop sensibilities of Eurythmics, The Cure, Talking Heads, Stevie Wonder and Prince. Their new single, Love Get Out Of My Way, is out on Friendly’s label, Gulp, home of Joe and Will Ask, and New York scream-pop act, Black Peter Group. The eagerly anticipated collaboration between Spanish footwear label Camper and Bernhard Willhelm debuted on the catwalk for the designer’s Spring 09 collection. Camper Together fuses the references and inspirations from Willhelm latest collection with Campers’ quality production techniques. Most popular is sure to be Willhelms’ take on the gladiator, with sandals constructed of ribbons and piping.
