If you’re as big a fan of personal stories and short fiction/non-fiction as I am, you won’t regret checking out the incredible show This American Life, hosted by Ira Glass. It began as — and still is — an hour-long radio program in Chicago, combining found sound footage, field recordings, and narrative, pushing the boundaries of the medium of radio journalism. It recently spawned a TV version on Showtime. Each episode of the radio show is available as a free podcast via the website, and revolves around a theme.
