Opinion tends to be divided about Sydney band Mercy Arms. If you believe the knockers, then you’ll say that they’re over-hyped. But if you’re like me and countless other fans, including The Strokes, The Pixies and TV on the Radio, you’ll be too busy singing along to their sweet but pessimistic rock to care what anyone else is saying.
