Tegan on The National
I was late to the game on The National, but I’m here now and that counts doesn’t it? Their new record, Boxer, is in my top five for this year. [Check out The National track, Fake Empire, and watch the clip to their song, Mistaken for Strangers]
Listen to the song, Are You Ten Years Ago [off the album, The Con], by our guest contributors, Tegan and Sara.

Doesone and Why?’s layered, poetic vocals cover the personal, political and social elements of their lives; and, above all, their flatout rejection of traditional musical boundaries makes them a quirky and unique act.

I live the upbeat, feel good tempo of the new single — A Hundred Hearts — from Philly group, The Swimmers. Off their latest album, People Are Soft, this song is a strangely fitting anthem for the blustery day outside.
