I’ve been listening to Ben Lee’s new album, Ripe, pretty much non-stop since the pre-release version arrived in the mail some weeks ago. It’s a great listen — full of upbeat, rocking songs that tell the tale of Lee as a single man. And an interesting tale it is. Whereas his previous album Awake Is the New Sleep was introspective and contemplative, Ripe is bursting with energy and catchy tunes. It’s an album you want to listen to again and again.
