Verde 3
The complex and tender thoughts that your senses experience when you’re in love {and we mean truly, deeply, gut-wrenchingly in love) are inside the lyrics, visuals and beats of Verde 3, a band from Bogota, Colombia, who move between rock, pop, electro and new wave. Created in 2002 by Champi (Carlos Benavides), Verde 3 is now one of the most exciting bands in this eclectic city, playing venues like the Teatro Colón, an Italian style theatre built in 1885. The band recently performed there, delighting the audience with a playful mix of piano, Moogs and RGB visuals. Check out the web broadcast. The Take It Easy experience in Barcelona
Two months ago, a very special and unique place opened in Barcelona: TAKE IT EASY, an anti-stress space. Inspired by The Eagles song, Ramón Regada created a comfortable area in the district of L’Eixample in which people can unplug and take a short nap in hi-tech massage chairs. It is aimed at workers with only short time after lunch to take the famous siesta. And all for just five Euros. Regada asks each customer to write down a phrase or word after taking the nap and each week he selects one as a banner in the front window of the space. Read more

Despite their jarring name, British noise duo Fuck Buttons are surprisingly palatable. The band’s long, droning tracks are infused with sweet twinkles and sunny synth, but dark shards of ominous guitar overdrive and distorted screeches pierce the shimmering surface just when you’re ready to zone out. Danceable beats occasionally draw everything back together, creating a stormy, pulsing, and disorienting atmosphere.
Seriously, all jokes aside, we really need to tear ourselves away from our computers every once in a while. These shirts, on sale at Threadless, may be intended as a light-hearted jab at modern culture, but who will be laughing when our hands become gnarled claws from decades of ceaseless typing and our spinal columns have fused solid from lack of movement? Evil monkeys, that’s who.
