This Is Wanted
A nice ambient branding play fused with a pop-up creative space, This Is Wanted features a convoy of Wrangler trucks descending on Barcelona, Stockholm and Milan and unloading a giant urban interactive ‘monument’. It’s ‘part urban gallery, part urban playground’, and is a creative means of bringing together collaborators, artists, designers and musicians in community-based events open to everyone. The show in Barcelona was a great success, and the events in Stockholm and Milan are coming soon.

I’m new in town, so was dutifully checking out the local metal scene, and the Galway Arms was rammed with leather and spikes. There was a decidedly medieval theme, and I spotted at least one real sword. Read more

The nice thing about black metal is that it’s so hard for it to be co-opted. Between its often extreme ideologies and its inherently abrasive sound, it’s hard to imagine anyone trying to sell you a pair of sneakers with it. Even as some bands like Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth have wormed their way into the mainstream, the vast majority of black metal fans and bands out there are happy to stay in the filthy pits of the underground.
