Pipe dreams
Fancy staying in a pipe? Well dasparkhotel would like to ‘offer a temporary comfortable uncomplicated home for a certain time’. To answer a need for cost effective short term accommodation for students, Andrea Strauss, an Austrian art college graduate, saw potential in sections of large concrete drainage pipes. Relatively cheap, solid and safe, these self-supporting structures are fitted out for passing travellers to stay for the night — or two. Fitted with combination locks, the key code is sent to you once you book online. Possibly the most interesting aspect is that there is no fixed price per night. Rather you leave an amount of money that you feel reasonable for the length of your stay.

This is probably the one of the most brilliant ideas I’ve ever heard of. Kudos to who ever came up with this! My only question is where can you find these?

wow. why pay for a whole hotel when all you need is a bed to sleep in?
I guess this is sort of like a motel but waay cooler, and easier to maintain.
