This is my new favourite song. Yup. It makes me want to twirl around and around like each triumphant axis is my last. Only it isn’t. And suddenly I feel kinda wobbly. But hell that’s half the fun. One can only wonder at the amount of foot tapping that must have taken place as this mix of the Los Campesinos track You! Me! Dancing! was going down. Let’s hope the floor was well carpeted.

I got to check out Extra Golden the other night at the Floristree in the H & H Building in downtown Baltimore. Despite a bill of heady, contemplative, experimental music that preceded the DC-based band, the crowd was chomping at the bit to see them when they finally hit the stage well past 1am. It’s still cold and rainy here in Charm City, but these guys made it feel like summer with their sunny blend of Kenyan benga music and guitar-driven psych rock.

Excellent fervor of youth…textured with sounds and eclectic instruments and vox – multi layered and certainly a jig to get jiggy wid! has a sentimental style of…ummmm…lets say – the song White Trash Heroes by Arches of Loaf – even though it may oppose a little bit more sombre yet I feel the same enthusiasim
