The first sustainable mixed use condominium in Miami by Oppenheim Architecture + Design is scheduled for completion in 2010. Named Cor, the tower is sustainable because it extracts power from its environment using wind turbines, photovoltaics and solar hot water generation. Interestingly, the exoskeloten formed to provide for the wind turbines has informed the aesthetics of the building as a whole, giving it an unmistakable eco identity.
