We aspire to be men’s men, with the know-how, etiquette and threads to think we’re men of the world. Whether or not we achieve that godly, Bond-esque status is besides the point. The freshly launched men’s high fashion stores, hair salons, fashion magazines and informed interviews may be designed to help us live more like Frank Vincent, but at the end of the day it’s the pleasure of it all, not the aspirations, that keeps us coming back for more.
