Chicago-based photographer April Mitchell looks for ‘beauty in everything and everyone. As a lover of the arts, I knew whatever I would do would somehow have to revolve around creativity. I have yet to take any classes on the subject so I guess you can say I’m self-taught. I actually prefer working in the rugged outdoors, or my personal favorite-an abandoned setting. Star Wars Uncut: a fully crowdsourced version of Episode IV
The project of creative technologist, Casey Pugh, this full length version of the George Lucas masterpiece was created from multiple 15 second segments recreated from the original movie and submitted by thousands of Star Wars fans, which were then spliced together by editor Aaron Valdez to form the final product. Genius, as both a commentary on contemporary pop culture trends (there are references to LEGO, stop motion, memes and the like) and on the power of tapping your audience for quality material.
Filmmaker creates LEGO stop motion to propose to girlfriend
Now, this is one for the ages: back in 2010, Atlanta film-maker Walter Thompson created a jaw-dropping LEGO stop motion to propose to Nealey Dozier, his girlfriend of four years. The video took 22 hours of shooting and some 2,600 pictures to splice together, a small sacrifice to pay for years of happiness together. Right? Right! Oh, and she said yes. Bonus.

With an appetite for robots and Samurais, I came across the work of illustrator Crom-Cristian Ortiz, who with a tint of propaganda posters, pictures young warriors in a world where having a companion pet seems as mandatory as it is to belong to some epic Mecha army in quest for honour and glory. Our friends over at Australian website Sex In Art have posted a (very tastefully done) nude by London artist Kes Richardson, who uses soft colours to give his work a pop art quality.
How old must Kermit be now? Not to old to collaborate with skater-friendly retailer Supreme and photographer Terry Richardson. Kermit, who usually wears nothing, has been hooked up with some new threads to advertise the brand. It seems Kermit and Terry are the perfect work partners: they’ve even released a video clip documenting the shoot.
Australia’s largest private museum will soon have some super futuristic and luxurious accommodations for guests. These awesome structures, designed by Nonda Katsilidis, definitely aim to reflect the art housed in the museum with their hyper modernist look.

Italian brand Brionvega has resurrected the classy Radiofonografio piece first created in 1965. The updated version is just like the original turntable/radio unit, but also has a CD/DVD player.
