Sydney based label Tight Knickers use their t-shirts as a medium through which to espouse their views on Australian politics, the degradation of the environment and, ahem, Americans. Yes, brashness is a powerful weapon, especially in the hands of these lads. Their t-shirts are beautifully cut and are made from the softest cotton. I know because I often get around New York in a ‘Chaos is just a nightclub in Manhattan’ tee, which invariably causes ripples amongst the feared and fearful. Nice. [see also Mr Bingo; J'Adore Pop]

Star Wars Uncut: a fully crowdsourced version of Episode IV
The project of creative technologist, Casey Pugh, this full length version of the George Lucas masterpiece was created from multiple 15 second segments recreated from the original movie and submitted by thousands of Star Wars fans, which were then spliced together by editor Aaron Valdez to form the final product. Genius, as both a commentary on contemporary pop culture trends (there are references to LEGO, stop motion, memes and the like) and on the power of tapping your audience for quality material.
Filmmaker creates LEGO stop motion to propose to girlfriend
Now, this is one for the ages: back in 2010, Atlanta film-maker Walter Thompson created a jaw-dropping LEGO stop motion to propose to Nealey Dozier, his girlfriend of four years. The video took 22 hours of shooting and some 2,600 pictures to splice together, a small sacrifice to pay for years of happiness together. Right? Right! Oh, and she said yes. Bonus.

This very clever cartoon representing the different web browsers as varying forms of transportation was done by Caldwell Tanner, a cartoonist for College Humor.
This is a really strong shoe, and lasts a long, long time. My dad says that you should replace your shoes every eight months, but I haven’t replaced these in a year and a half. I like running at night. It’s the only time New York City feels empty. There’s only Chinese men fishing in the East River and a few couples making out.
Oh man, my eyeballs feel like they’re dropping out of my head. This clip is pyschedelic in a way that platform shoes and polyester shoes could never be. The Faint are the shizz, and that’s the truth.

The3some seeks collaborations with like-minded people and together, they strive to bust boredom. As you are reading this, the relentless battle continues.
Describing their sound as ‘nihilist suicide pop’, Rome-based quartet Spiritual Front draws immediate comparisons to Nick Cave, but their approach to dark themes have a hint of irreverence — they inject unexpected doo-wop flares and new wave bombast to their atmospheric neofolk. Their latest album, Armageddon Gigalo, is a beautiful and catchy masterpiece for fans of Death In June, Sol Invictus, and even latter-day Duran Duran.
