We upped San Francisco duo Two Gallants on Lost At E Minor a little while back, as raw a slice of musical mayhem as anything that’s crawled out of the backwoods of sleepy Seattle. They not only deliver the most exhilarating live shows but they sound pretty damn sweet on record too, as this musical morsel from their second album – What The Toll Tells – suggests. Crimea X is the coming together of two offbeat, disparate characters, DJ Rocca (Ajello, Super Sonic Lovers, Maffia Sound System) and Jukka Reverberi from 90s Italian glam cult rockers, Giardini di Mirò, who have often have been compared with the sound of Mogwai, Arab Strap, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. We asked them about their favourite music and they started with The Smiths song, Ask [listen below] ‘I saw them playing live on Italian TV. In a marketplace oversaturated with photoprints, Finnish illustrator and designer Inka Jarvinen has managed to make it look new. Her up-andpcoming label, Girls Of Boredom, showcases her photo cut and paste style, while her client work sees her creating record covers, fashion show identities, and magazine covers.

It was our annual New Year’s retreat. People from all over Europe and North America meet up and spend a week together, exchange information, go see things together, or just have fun. The3some seeks collaborations with like-minded people and together, they strive to bust boredom. As you are reading this, the relentless battle continues.
Oh man, what I wouldn’t give to be able to sing like Neil Finn. His voice rasps with all the sincerity and integrity of a thousand heartfelt melodies. Heck, I’d probably trade my prized collection of Archie comics for just the chorus on this song. Driving Me Mad? You betcha(dupa). This man is a treasure. Bow low indeed.
NASA has released some pretty amazing audio recordings of sounds from the moons of Saturn. The weirdest thing about them is that they actually sound like Theremin warbles and echoey whooshy sounds from ‘50s movies about space.
