Sydney-based artist Lang Leav uses pastels and pixels to weave the enchanting world of Akina. After leaving art college, Leav worked as a freelancer for various creative agencies fulfilling roles in textiles, illustration, packaging and product design. Akina is her creative playground, combining her love of art, fashion and storytelling. [see also Chris Buzelli]

Yeah, I see the Ryden touch in Lang’s work. But no sign of raw meat anywhere! Incidentally she has just been awarded a grant to do some work over in Japan. Very exciting news for this talented Aussie illustrator.
