Joan As Policewoman
Former girlfriend of Jeff Buckley and founding member of The Dambuilders, Joan As Policewoman frontwoman, Joan Wasser, is a pivotal cog in the ‘freak folk’ movement. She has collaborated with a number of talented musicians over the years, as she exclusively told us: ‘Working with Antony and the Johnsons was very special for me. When I joined Antony’s band, it was a little like a renaissance for me. I had been playing such loud and aggressive music previously. When I joined his band, I remembered not only what it was like to play with other string players, but also the importance of playing softly. I had been really longing for some solace. Antony and the group of musicians he gathered around him were so crucial to helping me back to life. Working with Rufus [Wainwright] was also very important to me. For one thing, the fact that he asked me to support him on his tours really forced me to get my act together. There’s nothing like playing for hundreds of Rufus fans. They want to see their god and you’ve got to attempt to keep their attention for long enough to get them to heaven. He is also one of the most patient, caring and supportive people. When you’ve got someone who believes you can play the violin and guitar at the same time while singing the most complicated runs in harmony and blending with six others, you figure out how to do it’. Filmmaker creates LEGO stop motion to propose to girlfriend
Now, this is one for the ages: back in 2010, Atlanta film-maker Walter Thompson created a jaw-dropping LEGO stop motion to propose to Nealey Dozier, his girlfriend of four years. The video took 22 hours of shooting and some 2,600 pictures to splice together, a small sacrifice to pay for years of happiness together. Right? Right! Oh, and she said yes. Bonus.

i still remember being blown away by the DamBuilders and in particluar Joan Wassers violin when they were supporting Jeff Buckley in Brissy in 1994.
Definately going to check this one out.
