UK artist Anthony Micallef is one of the hottest new talents to come of Europe in some time. His work fuses dark themes with subtle use of colour and texture to create pieces that are as confronting as they are intriguing. His work is collected by people as disparate as Jude Law, Michael Stipe and Nick Valensi from The Strokes. He’s certainly one to keep a close watch on.

Kurata’s work is torrid, moody and fragmented like a restless dream. Bursting with texture and patterns, it’s simply brilliant.
