Pieces of sky
Lost At E Minor has developed a few media partnerships over the past few weeks that we’re very excited about. We are now an official partner of this year’s Semi-Permanent conference which is put on by Design Is Kinky and is without a doubt the most inspiring design-based event in Australia and beyond. We are also now a media partner with New York-based product scouting site, Cool Hunting, ranked by Amazon as being in the top 16,000 most popular websites on the Internet. Quite an achievement.
Each week Lost At E Minor will be posting a couple of emerging Australian artists, illustrators and photographers on the Cool Hunting site as a way of giving props to all the fine talent in this part of the world. We also have an ongoing relationship with Australia’s Noise festival, a project which supports and promotes young artists and musicians from around the world. So there’s a lot of good stuff going down.
Speaking of which, the creative folk behind Melbourne based Is Not Magazine continue to put out a fresh, interesting and visually striking product each issue. They print all their content onto posters which they then stick up all over the city and sell online. Brilliant idea. Beautifully executed. As is the illustration work of Mathias Johansson.
I’ve also checked back into Jesse LeDoux’s website and found some cool new work up there. And there’s a whole assortment of interesting stuff on the Dopepope gallery site. Oh, and anyone looking to bust some killer moves, look no further. Apparently ‘learning the dance moves that your favourite pop star made famous is much easier than you think’. And it’s all done online. For a fee of course. Hey, instant hipness comes at a price.
